The medical technology company Richard Wolf GmbH, headquartered in the town of Knittlingen, Germany, is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. After the upheaval of the war and the move away from occupied Berlin, Richard and Annemarie Wolf founded Richard Wolf GmbH in Knittlingen in January 1947.
"Anniversaries are always an opportunity to look back. If there is one constant theme in Richard Wolf's 75 years in business, it is that hardly anything stays the same. A steady stream of new challenges, continuous technological innovation and the demands of sustainability require everyone in the company to be ready to adapt at any time. That is why our passion for achieving more and our optimistic view of the future are at the heart of the values we live as a company," say Jürgen Steinbeck and Jürgen Pfab, Managing Directors of Richard Wolf GmbH.
With this in mind, the company motto "Passion for change" is the perfect theme for the anniversary year. The company will celebrate this milestone together with its customers, business partners and employees.
Today, Richard Wolf is one of the leading German companies in endoscopy. What started as a family business in Knittlingen has grown into an internationally influential company with a worldwide presence. With around 1,500 employees, 18 subsidiaries and 130 distributors worldwide, Richard Wolf meets the needs of physicians, patients and engineers everywhere.
With decades of experience, the company has played its part in developing innovative medical devices and in the continuous advancement of patient-friendly, minimally invasive treatment methods, with its core focus on endoscopy systems for human medicine.
