Slim 7 mm resectoscope for minimal dilatation
The Richard Wolf PRINCESS resectoscope is small and slim, with low insertion resistance and minimal cervical dilatation, greatly reducing trauma to the cervical canal. This makes it especially suitable for patients with a narrow cervical canal and for fertility and infertility treatment.
The instrument is easy to handle and extremely comfortable to use. Its rotatable dual-sheath system lets the working element rotate through 360° while the outer sheath does not turn in the cervical canal, allowing greater freedom of movement. A continuous-flow sheath also ensures a clear view throughout the procedure.
A major advantage of the PRINCESS resectoscope is that it allows both monopolar and bipolar resection, as the user prefers.
A wide range of electrodes is available for both monopolar and bipolar resection. For bipolar vaporization, special electrode tips have been developed. Their optimized surface geometry uses concentrated high-energy plasma for fast, efficient tissue vaporization with almost no blood loss. Because the tissue is vaporized, no tissue chips float in the distension medium.
The bipolar vaporization electrode "BIVAP" is ideal for endometrial ablation and fibroid treatment, where the minimal space requirements of the 7 mm PRINCESS system also come into their own.
