The rigid TEXAS bronchoscope system, with tubes of 6 to 14 mm inner diameter and an integrated telescope, is complemented by the Hemer bronchoscope. A special feature of the Hemer bronchoscope is its integrated sampling channel for measuring CO2 levels. Of course, the Hemer bronchoscope is also available in various diameters for use as a tracheoscope or bronchoscope.

Our rigid bronchoscopes combine efficiently with a range of innovative instruments, such as the TipControl articulating forceps system or the ERAGONbipolar biopsy forceps, which not only has a special ergonomic design but also offers exceptional safety thanks to bipolar coagulation (hot biopsy). Not to mention the endobronchial curette and secretion remover, whose integrated suction makes for very efficient use. A bipolar suction system completes the range and ensures rapid hemostasis when needed.

Foreign body aspiration is a common indication, especially in pediatric bronchoscopy. For this, Richard Wolf offers an instrument set with pediatric bronchoscope tubes in different lengths and diameters that can be combined with a variety of optical forceps and telescopes.

For flexible bronchoscopy, Richard Wolf offers advanced sensor bronchoscopes with diameters of 6.2, 5.2 and 2.9 mm, perfectly designed for diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

A versatile, high-quality spreading video mediastinoscope is now available for mediastinoscopy. It can be disassembled for reprocessing and therefore meets strict hygiene requirements.

For thoracoscopic surgery, an innovative mini thoracoscopy set is available, ideal for minimally invasive diagnosis, mostly with a single-port technique. For therapeutic thoracoscopy, there is a wide variety of access systems and telescopes. Rigid bronchoscopy

Rigid bronchoscopy is used to diagnose and treat a wide range of indications in the central bronchial system. Especially for interventions such as foreign body removal, tumor resection or stent placement, rigid bronchoscopy is considered the gold standard. The main requirement for these techniques is a large working channel so that forceps and instruments can easily be introduced together or individually. Inserting rigid bronchoscope tubes often used to be difficult; today, an integrated optical view makes introducing the bronchoscope much easier.

Flexible bronchoscopy

In everyday practice, flexible bronchoscopy is becoming more important than rigid bronchoscopy. Many examinations can be performed faster and more gently with flexible instruments (under local anesthesia). Flexible instruments reach deeper sections with less trauma, and lower staff costs and preparation time make the examination more cost-effective.

Flexible Sensor Bronchoscopes

Mediastinoscopes

Mediastinoscopy is used to visualize mediastinal structures, take tissue biopsies and remove mediastinal lymph nodes. Today, these procedures are video-assisted.

With the image on the screen, the anatomy of the anterior, middle and posterior mediastinum is clearly visible. The team can now work bimanually: lymph nodes can be removed completely and, in some cases, a selective mediastinal lymphadenectomy (VAMLA) can be performed. Video mediastinoscopy also allows more rigorous and safer training of thoracic surgeons.
