Endobronchial Curette and Secretion Remover

Precise, selective removal

Especially in interventional bronchoscopy, where work takes place in very narrow lumens, every bit of space counts. Exophytic tumors often obstruct the main bronchi, and in this clinical situation experienced bronchoscopists must carefully weigh up whether to ablate tissue.

Building on existing methods of endobronchial tissue ablation, the new curette makes resection easy.

The endobronchial curette comes with various rotating blades and is used with the Micro-Stick S1 handpiece.

Suction integrated in the handpiece draws the tissue to be ablated into the distal end of the curette, and the PowerDrive generator is then activated to resect it.

Another highlight is the so-called remover, which works like a "conveyor belt" to remove viscous secretions easily.

The complete set also includes a bipolar suction device for hemostasis. The curette, remover and bipolar suction device were designed especially for our TEXAS bronchoscope.

Of course, these components can also be used with conventional rigid bronchoscopes.

Advantages at a glance

  • Sharp cutting surfaces, serrated or smooth
  • Upward-curved distal end for a better view of the curette tip in the endoscopic image
  • Rotatable through 360°
  • Special coating of the inner blade improves gliding; world-first secretion remover for removing viscous secretions or blood clots
  • Bipolar suction device for simultaneous suction and coagulation
  • CO2 channel for the tracheoscope tube
  • Lightweight curette handpiece
  • Time-saving, precise removal

Gentle, safe tissue resection and mucus removal
